In the List of publications, for each publication step of each member; the publication office, the application date, the document type, and the links are indicated.
From the Links column, you can display the:
- Member’s copy by clicking on the PDF icon which opens a new window (which will be placed in your patent copy portfolio) if you have chosen on the fly in your display settings. Otherwise, the PDF will be placed directly into your portfolio
- Document comparison is available by clicking on the icon
- Digipat login page (File History command) by clicking on the icon
- information from the Maxval module in the event of litigation by clicking on the icon. Displaying the information requires a subscription.

Whether these links are included in your exports can be set in User Settings/General.
An asterisk by the IPC, CPC or US identifies the main code.
The asterisk on applicant’s name identifies the name as being the last publication. The translations of the names of applicants are not taken into account.

Key content (FamPat): the representative member's key content is displayed. The subject matter of the invention, the advantages of the invention and the drawbacks of the prior art, and the independent claims can be viewed. Key content can only be viewed for US, EP, GB, and WO publications in English. PCTs (not including those published in Korean) machine-translated into English are also used. FR and CN publications have also key content.

Concepts (FamPat): A patent's key content is extracted using from the Fulltext of the patent' using linguistic technologies. They reflect the patent's semantic content. The importance of the concepts is shown by a larger font and a blue color. The cover is the same as the key content.

KWIC (FamPat, Fullpat and Fulltext): All fields in the entire family you searched, if they contain your keywords, are displayed. The keywords are surrounded by three lines, so you can view them in context. You can display all the abstracts, titles, claims, etc. in the family if those fields contain your keywords.

For Bulgaria, Belize, Belarus, Croatia, Egypt, Georgia, Japan, Kenya, South Korea, Latvia, Malaysia, Mexico, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Pakistan, and South Africa, the database only indicates the entry into the national phase of the corresponding PCT application.
For Luxembourg, the database only covers Supplementary Protection Certificates.
Legal information for Japanese patterns is provided by NRI: clicking on the link Display NRI legal status shows the legal information.
The available legal statuses are collapsed by default. Clicking on the plus sign + expands the legal status of the requested equivalent. You can also click on Expand all or Collapse all to manage how the family's available legal statuses are displayed.
Whenever the legal status is collapsed, the following information is available:

for “Publication number”: covers the procedures from national channels
Legal details for designated state "country code": covers designated
countries from the PCT procedure

EED: actual or projected expiration date

Legal state: dead or alive. The
earlier expiration date is the one that determines the patent's status.
Status: Seven statuses are available depending on the state of the
patent:
Expired: Patent has expired, reaching the end of the term of
protection, associated with Dead
Lapsed: Patent has lapsed without
reaching the end of the term of protection, associated with Dead
Revoked: Patent has been revoked, associated with
Dead
Granted: Patent been granted, associated with Alive
Pending: Application pending, associated with Alive
Restored: Patent restored, associated with Alive
Unpublished: Associated with Alive
Expanding the legal statuses shows information from the columns Date (date of the event), Description (including the description, spelled out in full, of the events and actions (description of the publication step, positive indicator, negative indicator, type of event, etc.)) and Details (each action and event is detailed). The codes have been replaced by their detailed names.

Clicking on the column header allows you to:
• add the Actions column: The same information when everything is collapsed
• sort by ascending or descending
• group by this field: Group the information based on the selected column
• display by group: This option is available after grouping by this field. Whenever you uncheck the box, there are no more references to the group.
Information related to legal status is displayed for each equivalent in the family using the following color code:
•green: positive actions, POS
•red: negative actions, NEG
• white: neutral actions

Timeline (FamPat) (Non-detachable tab): The information available in the legal status tab is available in graph form. The equivalence of the family and their status over time are included. Mousing over a symbol displays the action and the corresponding number (application, publication, etc.), while mousing over the colored bars displays the previous information, then the dates. The meaning of the colored bars is indicated beneath the graph.
It is possible to take a screenshot of the timeline using the button.
Citations (FamPat and Fullpat): This includes the cited patents' families and the citing patents' families. The citations are the ones taken from the search report and the ones filed by the applicant. You will also find the cited literature.
The listed of cited patent families and the list of citing patent families display the following information: Publication number, earliest application date, title, applicant(s), origin of the citation (Examiner, Applicant, Third Party and Unknown) and relevance category. You can access the record of a patent by clicking the publication number. A window then opens with the bibliographic information.
The cited patents' relevance categories are available for the search reports of EP, WO, FR, BE, CH and NL publications:

By mousing over the publication number, a window pops up to show the patent application number, which is cited (cited patent families) or citing (citing patent families). This is because the displayed publication number is that of the family's representative member, and may be different from the one that is cited or citing.
The icon is used to copy all the cited or citing families into a list or workfile. The Explorer assistant opens and you can create a list or workfile and duplicate the families.
By clicking on the Citation graph link, you can display the graph of cited and citing patents.

The family representative member (FamPat)
In the User Settings/Display module, you can define the representative family member with the preferred language and patent authority options. This information can be found in the tabs and the hitlist.
The publication number indicated in the hitlist can also be defined from the User Settings/Display module.
