The search page allows you to compare your nucleotide or proteic query sequences to Orbit’s nucleotide and / or amino acid sequences, whether it is coming from patent or non patent literature.
Blast will be used with its default parameters and allow a maximum of 200 unique sequences to be retrieved.
You only need to select the type of your sequences (nucleotides or proteins) and paste one or more sequences in the FASTA format. Then click Search.
Advanced Parameters
The advanced search allows you to combine databases and set many Blast parameters

There are two options: Nucleotides and Proteins. You can select either or both, but you must select at least one. Combinations:

If you have selected nucleotide and protein subject databases, then two different Blast programs will be run, and the results put together as one.
You can also select patent and / or non patent databases. If you select both, the results will be displayed in 2 different windows.
