Move/ duplicate in a workfile (FamPat only)
Management and organisation tool of the patent information, workfiles make the patent analysis easier and strengthen the collaboration between experts of the search, engineers and lawyers.
The feature “addition of document” allow you to store FamPat families in a workfile of your portfolio.
From your hitlist, you can duplicate (copy/paste) FamPat families in a workfile.
From a list, you can duplicate (by default) (copy/paste) or move (cut/paste) FamPat families in a workfile.
After having selected documents in your hitlist or your list, open the Move/Duplicate button located in the toolbar and choose Move or Duplicate.
The function is limited to a selection of 5 000 families maximum. You are requested to select or create the directory and the workfile in which you wish to store documents.
Orbit will ask you to select or create the directory or workfile where you want to store documents. To create a new directory or a new storage workfile, click on the New option and select Directory or Workfile.
In order to add documents on this workfile, select the workfile then click on the OK button.
After having grouped your FamPat extended families, you can select one or several extended families to move them on a workfile. The following message will display: “this function will duplicate/move FamPat families contained in the selected extended families”.
For then accessing to your workfile, click on the module Workfile on the orange drop down menu Orbit.com.
Move/duplicate in a list (FamPat and Fulltext)
The List function allows you to extract from your results a selection of relevant documents. This selection, stored permanently, constitutes a personalized hitlist with a view to a use or a subsequent action as the display or the documents exports, the PDF downloading, the addition in a workfile, the analysis and even the integration under a request in a search strategy (only trough the search history).
From your hitlist, you can duplicate (copy/paste) FamPat families in a list.

After having selected documents in your hitlist or your list, you open the button Move/Duplicate located in the toolbar and choose Move or Duplicate.
