The names of the fields in the list of results are set to the Detailed (full name) view and can be changed to the Short (code) from the User settings>Display page.

The Actions are:

Search for similar patents (FamPat): The similarity search uses the CPC code(s) assigned to a publication to find all publications classified under the same code(s) as well as the IPC codes, US PCL codes, citations (shared citations, cited and citing), the extended family (shared priority numbers) and concepts if available. The patents found will share at least one of these criteria. From the list of results, use the KWIC tab to view the criteria used for the similarity search. Each located family’s relevance score can be displayed in the hitlist.

Search for the extended families (Fullpat and FamPat): the extended families search finds all documents that share at least one priority number. It also includes any divisions, continuations and continuations-in-part in the output.

Extended family graph (Fullpat and FamPat): you can display the visual representation of the extended family with links shown between the publications and their priority numbers.

By default, four fields are in the Selected fields section. Using the arrow keys, you may change (add, delete, change order) fields in the display. Select one or more fields. To select multiple items, use the Shift key on your keyboard or to select non-sequential items use the Control key.
